Scootaround was thrilled to be part of the 2014 US Open Championship which was held June 12th – 15th and the 2014 Women’s Open Championship being held June 19th – 22nd at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.

With temperatures hitting 90+ degrees, people taking in the tournament were grateful to be cruising the course on a scooter. Representing Scootaround at the tournament was Chad Stott, Logistics and Corporate Events Manager, Jordan Meagher, Sales & Marketing along with Kerry Renaud, President & COO.

“The reaction of people attending the tournament was overwhelmingly positive,” said Stott. “Nearly everyone that used a scooter at the event said that walking the course would not have been possible for them had Scootaround not been there. I can’t tell you how amazing the reaction was and how grateful people were that Scootaround was there.”

Scootaround provided attendees with a front row seat to an event that would normally require an enormous amount of long distance walking. With 170 scooters onsite, Scootaround averaged 110 rentals each day of the tournament.

The US Open Championships are very prestigious tournaments and a huge undertaking by the USGA. Scootaround is extremely proud to be a part of such a well known and successful event.

Congratulations to Martin Kaymer on winning the Men’s US Open Championship. Up next… The Women’s!
