Rental Rates

Scooters - Standard and Heavy Duty Standard-weight mobility scooters are suitable for passengers weighing up to 300lbs. Heavy Duty mobility scooters are suitable for passengers weighing up to 250lbs. Models are offered with three or four wheels, depending on availability. All scooters are outfitted with front basket for easy material storage. Scooters include padded armrests and adjustable swivel seat for easy entrance. Models may vary from picture shown here.

Powerchairs Powerchairs are suitable for passengers weighing up to 250lbs. Chairs are outfitted with padded armrests and comfortable plastic handrims for comfortable operation. Many models include adjustable footrests for added comfort. Chairs can rotate easily in tight spaces. Models may vary from picture shown here.

Wheelchairs - Standard and Heavy Duty Manual wheelchairs are suitable for passengers weighing up to 250lbs. Accessible Information for San Diego

San Diego has an excellent Disability Services Program that was established in 1991 per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Their mission is to ensure that every facility, activity, benefit, program and service operated or funded by the City is fully accessible to, and useable by, people with disabilities in accordance with the ADA, as well as other federal, state and local access codes and disability rights laws.

• General Transportation - All buses, the San Diego Trolley, and the Coaster are equipped with lifts. Amtrak trains have a limited number of accessible spaces and recommend advance reservations. Greyhound provides a lift-equipped bus with advance notice. The Cloud 9 Shuttle provides transportation from the airport, also with advance notice.
• Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Paratransit - MTS is a lift-equipped Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 curb-to-curb service designed for transit riders with disabilities that prevent them from using regular bus or trolley services. • Amtrak - Amtrak's goal is to provide safe, efficient and comfortable service to all of their passengers, regardless of their mobility. • San Diego Trolley - All Trolleys have lift mechanisms or ramps to assist customers in wheelchairs or with other mobility impairments to board. The international symbol of accessibility is located on the platforms of each Trolley station to let you know where the lift will be when the Trolley stops. • San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau - The SDCVB (San Diego CVB) is composed of approximately 1,100 member organizations, businesses, local governments, and individuals seeking a better community through the visitor industry. San Diego CVB members include tourism-related entities in such categories as lodging, dining, arts & attractions, shopping, and transportation, among others, as well as other companies indirectly involved in the visitor industry. • Disneyland Information - For guests that require the use of wheelchairs or scooters, many Disney attractions disabled access. View the following list to see which attractions offer mobility access:
  • For those with ambulatory requirements: Some attractions require their guests to walk unassisted or to be assisted by members of their party.
  • For those requiring wheelchair access: Many attractions permit guests to remain in their wheelchair during the ride or attraction.
  • For those requiring wheelchair transfer: Some attractions require that guests transfer from their wheelchair to a specified ride vehicle. This transfer can be done by the rider themself or with assistance from a member(s) of their party.
  • ECV / Scooter Transfer to Wheelchair: Some attractions require that guests transfer from their Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV / Scooter) to a wheelchair provided by the attraction. The rider can then transfer from the wheelchair to the ride vehicle by themself or can be assisted by a member(s) of their party.
  • Accessible Parking - There are designated parking areas for guests with disabilities. These areas are provided throughout Disneyland and can be accessed by showing with a valid disability parking permit.
  • Theme Park Parking - Disabled guests that can walk short distances and step up to the courtesy tramway are asked to park in the main parking lots for certain attractions. The Disneyland Resort reserves spaces for cars displaying a handicap plate or placard (in state or out of state). A tram is required to get from most Disneyland parking lots to the main entrance. If for any reason you are unable to use the tram, a van is available for transportation to and from the main entrance. Just notify any parking lot Cast Member and they will summon it for you. If you require a wheelchair at all time, the park recommends taking the van even though the tram can accommodate wheelchairs.

Your electric scooter is a state-of-the-art device designed to increase your mobility and enhance your travel experience. Please be aware that the correct care and operation of the scooter is your responsibility. If you are unsure how to operate the scooter, please ask your Scootaround representative for assistance prior to operating the vehicle. If you are unfamiliar with operating the scooter in crowded areas such as a convention or a tradeshow, please take some added time to practice the safe operation of the vehicle. Here are some further points to consider:

• Always use added caution when driving in a crowded area.
• Equipment must not be used in wet or muddy areas.
• Equipment must not be driven on sharp inclines or declines.
• Scooter and Powerchair users must be 18 years or age or older.
• Operation of the equipment by persons other than the assigned renter is prohibited.
