above rates are applicable for rentals at your event. If you require a
rental for use before or after the event, please speak with a Scootaround
operator prior to booking.
- After
the event start date, rental requests will be handled on a walk-up basis,
subject to equipment availability. Guarantee your equipment by booking
early!
- Two forms
of coverage are offered at an additional cost; Equipment Protection
and Cancellation Protection.
- Rental

Equipment Pickup Location
Rental equipment
can be retrieved at the rentals booth located in the Baggage/Coat Check area,
by the entrance to the Hyatt, closest to Gate 4 of the Grand Concourse.
Venue Information - McCormick Place
With McCormick
Place's 2.2 million square feet of event space (the largest in North America,),
an electric scooter or wheelchair will ensure that you are able to see as much
of the event as possible. And what's more, you can use your scooter to visit
some of the attractions that Chicago has to offer such as the John Hancock Observatory,
Sears Tower Skydeck, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, and much more.

Directions to McCormick Parking LOT A
For parking at the South, North and West Buildings
- FROM
O'HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, NORTHWEST OR THE NORTH - Follow I-190
East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping
to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin
L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located
immediately to your left.
- FROM
THE WEST - Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan
Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway).
Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance
ramp located immediately to your left.
- FROM
MIDWAY AIRPORT OR SOUTHWEST - Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway).
Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance
ramp located immediately to your left.
- FROM
THE SOUTH OR INDIANA via I-80/94 - From I-80/94, exit at I-94 West
(Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow
to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D)
and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.
- FROM
INDIANA-SKYWAY - Take I-90 West (Indiana Tollway turns into the Chicago
Skyway). Merge onto I-90/94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit at I-55 North
(Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow
signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.
- FROM
NORTH LAKE SHORE DRIVE (US-41) - From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st
Street and turn right (West). Turn right again on Martin L. King Drive. Turn
left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.
- FROM
SOUTH LAKE SHORE DRIVE (US-41) - From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st
Sreet. and turn left (West). Turn right on Martin L. King Drive. Turn left
on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.
- FROM
CONGRESS PARKWAY - From Congress Parkway, turn right onto Michigan
Avenue Proceed south to Cermak Road. (E. 22nd Street). Turn left on Cermak
Road, to Martin Luther King Drive. Follow signs to Lot A.
Accessible parking
is available in Lot A (located on Martin Luther King Drive), Lot C (located
underground in Lakeside Center) and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place parking
garage.
There are two main
parking lots on the McCormick Place campus and are in close proximity and walking
distance to the convention complex. Events in Lakeside Center and Arie Crown
Theater designate Lot C as the primary parking location, while events in the
North and South Buildings designate Lot A as the primary parking location.
Lot C is an underground
garage that allows a 6 foot height clearance; it is located on Ft. Dearborn
Drive, adjacent to the Lakeside Center. Lot A is a six level garage that allows
an 8 foot height clearance; it is located directly across from the Grand Concourse/Gate
4. Covered walkways from Lot A leading directly into McCormick Place and the
Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also provide added convenience.

Rental Guidelines
Your electric scooter
is a state-of-the-art device designed to increase your mobility and enhance
your travel experience. Please be aware that the correct care and operation
of the scooter is your responsibility. If you are unsure how to operate the
scooter, please ask your Scootaround representative for assistance prior to
operating the vehicle. If you are unfamiliar with operating the scooter in crowded
areas such as a convention or a tradeshow, please take some added time to practice
the safe operation of the vehicle. Here are some further points to consider:
- Always use
added caution when driving in a crowded area.
- Equipment must
not be used in wet or muddy areas.
- Equipment must
not be driven on sharp inclines or declines.
- Scooter and
Powerchair users must be 18 years or age or older.
- Operation of
the equipment by persons other than the assigned renter is prohibited.
