"A great many of our customers are veterans and it's
always a special privilege to assist them in their travels.
We pride ourselves in the service we provide to thousands
of travelling customers each and every day."
Mission: ABLE was designed to enlist Americans
- citizens, communities and corporations—to help ensure
our paralyzed heroes are provided the physical care needed
to live a healthy life, receive the benefits they’ve
earned through military service and have the resources to
obtain job training and opportunities for new and fulfilling
careers.
"We thank Scootaround for joining us
in our mission of ensuring that our veterans get the care,
benefits and jobs they’ve earned and deserve,"
said Bill Lawson, national president of Paralyzed Veterans
of America. "Without the support of corporations like
Scootaround, we wouldn’t be able to provide all the
services to our veterans that they need in order to live full,
productive and independent lives."
The Scootaround donation campaign to benefit
Paralyzed Veterans will be featured across the company’s
1,500 locations throughout North America; 100% of the donations

Sixty-five years ago, Paralyzed Veterans
of America was founded by a band of spinal cord injured service
members who returned home from World War II to a grateful
nation, but also to a world with few solutions to the challenges
they faced. These veterans from the “Greatest Generation”
made a decision not just to live, but to live with dignity
as contributors to society. They created an organization dedicated
to veterans service, medical research and civil rights for
people with disabilities. And for more than six decades, Paralyzed
Veterans of America and its 34 chapters have been working
to create an America where all veterans, and people with disabilities,
and their families, have everything they need to thrive. (www.pva.org).
