Stories from 2006
One
of the best things I get to do each month is to collect
and share the feedback that comes our way. Here are
just a few of the comments from a variety of satisfied
folks who used our rental services at a variety of venues
and locations in 2006.
Hi:
So often people only let you know when they have a
problem with a rental. That's not the case here. I
couldn't be more pleased with my experience of renting
a scooter at the Food Lion Autofair at the Lowe's
Motor Speedway on 9-16-06. I went straight to the
Scootaround booth and was waited on within 3 minutes.
I got my scooter and was gone to the show within 5
minutes. I used the scooter all day and when I took
it back, the battery was still good. I had absolutely
no problems at all. Then when we were thru, your people
drove me almost all the way to my car. Being handicapped,
that meant an awful lot to me as I was very tired.
I would recommend your company to anyone and will
certainly use you again next year at the show. Thanks
again.

Many
customers are surprised to learn that we provide our
rental services at small and large events alike. The
Food Lion AutoFair event was attended by more than 100,000
visitors! With such large attendance numbers, Scootaround
needs to prepare well in advance to ensure that the
equipment demands are fully met. As people return their
scooters, many take the time to share a story or two
and to thank the event coordinators for including our
rental services.
I
just thought I would drop you a note saying how much
I appreciate your prompt handling of my rental request.
It made possible my attendance at my son's graduation.
The graduation was wonderful and I was able to attend
in comfort, without worrying about not being able
to walk far enough to get to a seat. I did not get
the name of the gentleman who helped me get the scooter,
but he was very diligent in being sure I knew how
to assemble and run the scooter and made sure I had
all the parts and information I needed. Kudos to him.
When I returned the scooter, Steve helped me and is
a true customer service gem. I will definitely call
you again when I need to rent, you folks are CHAMPS!
Thanks so much

Graduation
is a once-in-a-lifetime event and we were particularly
pleased to play a small part in Penni's special day.
In fact, many customers use our rental services not
only for traveling and out-of-town excursions, but for
attending special events within their own city. If you
have considered owning your own scooter but are unsure
how it would fit into your lifestyle, a Scootaround
rental is the best way to experience the freedom these
vehicles can provide.
I
just returned from Washington DC and rented a wheelchair
from you for the week I was there! What a positive
experience! The wheelchair was waiting at my hotel
when I arrived. It was lightweight, collapsible, easy
to transport on and off the Metro and trolleys! It
was such a positive experience for me and especially
for my mom, making her trip so very enjoyable. I will
recommend you highly to all. Thank you Scootaround!

Sclerosis Foundation.
Chris,
I read your article in a past magazine. As always,
you are my best MS news source. I have been traveling
to Washington for the last 18 months. Each time I
drive by new sites on the National Mall in a taxi
with sadness. I thought that I would never be able
to visit the new memorials and museums on the Mall.
Then I read your article. On my last trip I rented
an electric scooter from Scootaround. Wow! For a modest
cost, I was able to rent a scooter as transportation
for the day. I got to see everything I wanted. What
an experience! Thanks for letting your readers know
this valuable information. I had a great time visiting
the Museum of Natural History, the WW II memorial,
the FDR memorial, the Lincoln memorial and the Korean
War memorial. It was easy and fun. Time and again
you give me a new lease on life.
