How Does the Facilitate Rentals Program Work?

It's a straightforward process that begins with a toll-free call to a Scootaround Corporate Services expert:

1) Tell us how many scooters you need.
Let us know how many scooters/wheelchairs you will require. If you are unsure of how many you need for your venue, talk with one of our Convention Team experts and they will help you with your equipment estimates.

What We Need from you…

We require only a few basic items to ensure the safe and simple setup of your Facilitate rentals program:

1. A safe and secure location for the onsite scooters. This includes a rentals area where the bookings can be made as well as a storage area for the scooters.

2. Access to electrical power. Whether by fixed outlets or extension cords, you require electrical connections to keep the scooters fully charged for your rental customers. The chargers use standard outlets -- no special voltage is required.

To further help you with your event's mobility requirements, we also provide you with the following helpful services:

1) Scootaround Toll-Free Hotline.

Scootaround can provide a dedicated phone line that is set up in the location of your choice. Callers can use this 24/7, toll-free hotline to connect directly to the Scootaround Customer Service Center for fast and easy bookings. The phone is dedicated for customer orders and service questions only. This takes care of all concerns involving unauthorized use of the phone at your location.

When a customer contacts our call center, a Scootaround operator will take their order and process all payments. Your staff will not need to be involved in any order taking credit card processing or customer questions of any sort -- Scootaround takes care of all the details!

Scootaround will pay all costs incurred for the setup and operation of the phone line. All we require is suitable counter space or location for the phone.

2) Qualified Personnel at Your Event.

If you have an event that requires a large number of mobility vehicles, Scootaround can set up a portable booth right at your location to assist in attracting renters to the service area. If you wish, we can include visible signage that directs customers to the rental area. The Scootaround rentals booth is unobtrusive and offers an effective way to direct customers to the rental area.

In addition to the booth, Scootaround can also provide qualified personnel to handle the check out and return of all equipment. Our staff will be available throughout the day to provide assistance as required and to handle all inquiries.

For vehicle availability, we suggest a specific number of scooters located at the booth, with the remaining equipment being kept in a storage area. Scootaround personnel will replenish the equipment as required throughout the event.

3) Customized Website for Client Bookings.

Scootaround provides you with a customized rentals web page that allows your attendees to book their scooters online in advance. This page will not only streamline the entire rentals process but also help to showcase your event. The web page will also drive traffic to your event site and ensure that you receive high exposure for your show.

In addition, Scootaround will provide a reciprocal link to your company or event website to ensure that your attendees have a scooter rental reference anytime they need one.
