Welcome to the Clarence Vincent Foundation
The
Clarence William Vincent Foundation (CVF) exists to improve
the quality of life for those with limited mobility, by providing
the necessary equipment to travel from one place to another.
It accomplishes this by providing electric conveyance vehicles
(mobility scooters) to qualified individuals who require their
use for daily living and who are not otherwise able to purchase
such a vehicle. The Clarence Vincent Foundation has been established
to ensure that the cost of a scooter is no longer a deterrent
or a hinderance to an individual's mobility.
Four
times per year, the Clarence Vincent Foundation presents qualified
applicants with a mobility scooter, “free of charge”.
Scooter applicants are recommended and approved solely by
partnering foundations and organizations.
Scootaround
Inc. funds the Clarence Vincent Foundation from
proceeds received through its nation-wide scooter and wheelchair
rentals program. Founded in 1995, Scootaround Inc. is owned
and operated by Lee Meagher CEO and the Foundation is named
in honor of Ms. Meagher’s father, Clarence Vincent.
All scooters are provided by Scootaround Inc. and various
Scootaround Inc. representative manufacturers.
