The Scootaround Intra-Venue Shuttling program provides qualified staff that transport attendees, via electric carts, to and from locations within your venue. This shuttle service is available for all attendees regardless of their mobility status and helps to ensure that they arrive at their events on time.

How Does the Intra-Venue Shuttling Program Work?

Similar to the shuttle cart service offered in most airport terminals, Scootaround service personnel employ electric carts to transport visitors across short and long distances, inside or outside of any venue.

Number of Vehicles
The number of carts deployed at an event depends on the layout of the venue, as well as the estimated rate of attendance. Contact a Corporate Services Team Member for assistance in deciding the number carts for your event as well as the number of stops to assign for each cart.

The Shuttle Carts
Shuttle carts are comfortable, safe and come available in 4, 6, and 8-passenger models (depending on area availability). Carts offer dynamic braking for smooth deceleration and stability while loading and unloading passengers. Electric carts are provided for indoor service to conform to emission standards.

Routes and Circuits
At most events, shuttle carts will follow a specified circuit. These circuits can be designated by stops where attendees can wait for pick-up, or attendees can simply flag down the cart for a ride as requested. A Scootaround Corporate Services Team Member will be happy to assist you in mapping out cart circuits for your venue.

Some venues designate a cart lane, which can be marked by floor tape or roped off as required. Many venues simply allow the carts to flow through attendee traffic areas. Scootaround shuttle personnel are skilled in operating shuttle carts in the safest, most considerate manner.

Communication
Cart operators are equipped with 2-way radios, and can be dispatched as necessary for passenger pick-ups. A central dispatcher is also provided to ensure uninterrupted service throughout your event.

Where Will I Use the Carts?

Carts can be run in most locations, indoor or outdoor (depending on barriers and obstacles). In our experience, the optimal locations for shuttle cart service include:

Indoors:

• Corridors where attendees need to traverse long distances to reach attached venues.
• Long hallways and walkways with various entrances to exhibit halls.
• Along the outskirts of the exhibit halls on the trade show floor.

Outdoors:

• Perimeter service outside the convention center between main entrances.
• To and from designated bus stops to the entrance to the convention center.
• From one facility to another when these buildings are in close proximity.
• Circuits around large parking lots to transport attendees from their vehicles to the venue.

1) Provide us the location and dates of your event.
We will ensure that our staff and transport vehicles are reserved and in place on the dates involved.

2) Tell us about your attendee needs.
